Little blue velvet dress

Hi am Megy and I am learning how to be a tailor.  In every project that I take on many lessons are learned. So today I will tell you what have I learned while making a Blue velvet dress. 1. (most important lesson) DO NOT IRON VELVET. Sorry that is a bit harsh. Learn how to iron velvet may be better way to put it. What I learned is that you can iron it from behind but put a cloath under it, or another peace of velvet (fluffy sides next to one another). Or just hung it an with a bit of steam it should be ok. 2. Velvet likes to be all around the place.   Let me explain. Don't pull on it. If you pull it moves around.  3. Be careful with pattern. Chack 2 times before u cut if all the peaces are turned corectly. Velvet is interesting. It has 2 ways it falls and only one we want. Go with your finger over the fluffy side and se how it behaves. If it's rough that is what we DON'T want. We want smooth and shine.  4. Measure twice, cut once. Things that I used for this project:...
